Illumina first hired Unbridled in 2007 to plan and execute their annual Global Sales Meeting (GSM) – an event we continue to manage, along with their Regional Sales Meetings, Symposiums, Incentive Programs, and Board Meetings. Our nine year relationship has taken us throughout the US, Caribbean, Europe, and Asia with Illumina, and serves as a great example of the power of trusted partnerships to constantly push the boundaries, dream big, and continuously upgrade attendee experiences for our clients.
THE ELITE CUP INCENTIVE LEGACY
To raise the bar for the General Sales Meeting, we proposed The Elite Cup: a custom trophy, epic in stature, to be unveiled at the Awards Dinner. The idea was to create a tradition and legacy that would span generations of a sales team, with a physical embodiment of Illumina’s vision, culture, and successes. To introduce the Cup at the event, we created a documentary to capture the essence of Illumina’s Elite program – where it has been and where it is going. By weaving together clips of key company leaders telling Illumina’s Elite story with sincerity and humor, the video was a moving highlight for the GSM audience. The Elite Cup now travels the world spending a week with each winner, who are given the task of video chronicling their time with the iconic trophy. These “day in the life” videos not only provide a glimpse into Illumina life around the world but also provide powerful insight into what the trophy and being Elite mean to each winner. The Elite Cup’s journey across the globe continues to be a motivating and inspiring celebration of success for both the winner and the teams that helped them rise to the top!
