Be easy on yourself and everyone else. We are all works in progress.
One observation that has truly changed the way that we look at people is the humble realization that individuals are often their own worst critic.
It’s easy to beat yourself up over what you’re not good at. And if you let it, your thoughts and insecurities will do circles around everything you don’t do as well as the next person. That’s why we talk about hiring people, not positions. People are complicated and organic, positions are often structured and inflexible. So we posture people by strengths. By maximizing and seeing people for who they are and what they’re created to do — we’re able to unleash their strengths and create teams that compliment weaknesses.
